Training:
Paul Moroney graduated from University College Dublin in 1997 and received specialist training on the Irish National Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Trauma & Orthopaedics. In 2008 he was awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth) and was entered in the Specialist Register of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2010. Mr Moroney spent a year of fellowship training in Foot & Ankle Surgery in France and in the Institut Monégasque de Medicine et Chirurgie Sportive in Monaco.
Experience:
Mr Paul Moroney graduated from University College Dublin in 1997 and received specialist training on the Irish National Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Trauma & Orthopaedics. In 2008 he was awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth) and was entered in the Specialist Register of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2010. Mr Moroney spent a year of fellowship training in Foot & Ankle Surgery in France and in the Institut Monégasque de Medicine et Chirurgie Sportive in Monaco.
He subsequently moved to Switzerland, where he worked with Professor Beat Hintermann. He is a member of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine in RCSI / RCPI, as well as the European Foot & Ankle Society and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
His subspecialist interests include sports injuries and fractures of the foot and ankle, bunions and lesser toe pathology, diabetic and neuropathic feet. He performs ankle arthroscopy and total ankle replacement.
