Education and Training:
Mr Kennedy is a graduate of UCC, who started his postgraduate orthopaedic surgery training in 2004. He completed the Irish higher surgical training scheme in orthopaedic surgery in 2013, and became a Fellow of the RCSI. He spent 2014-2015 as an upper limb surgical fellow. He was the Shoulder Fellow in the Cambridge Shoulder and Elbow Unit focusing on arthroscopic shoulder instability and rotator cuff tendon repairs. Mr Kennedy was also Hand Surgical Fellow at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol.
Experience:
Mr Kennedy returned to Ireland in 2015, and has been practising as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Upper Limb Surgery since then. He has a Masters in Surgery and has published over 20 peer-reviewed publications. Mr Kennedy has on-going research interests in upper limb pathologies. He is a clinical supervisor for higher surgical trainees in orthopaedics and trauma surgery for the RCSI.
