Beacon Covid Vaccination Centre

We are delighted to have partnered with the HSE to become the first private hospital in the country to open a mass vaccination centre for the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccination to frontline workers.

We are proud to partner with the HSE in their rollout of the Covid-19 vaccination programme, making us the first private hospital in the country to open a mass vaccination centre. This vaccination centre has commenced vaccinations for frontline HSE healthcare staff at this time.

This state-of-the-art vaccination centre was set up next to the hospital on the ground floor of the former Beacon Hotel. Beacon Hospital developed this vaccination centre to pre-empt the demand for vaccination locations and offered the facilitate to the HSE to support the rollout of their National Vaccination Programme, beginning with their frontline healthcare worker staff.

The vaccination centre commenced the rollout of vaccinations on January 12th for HSE healthcare workers from across Community Health Area 7 (Dublin South, West Wicklow and Kildare) as well as a small percentage of Beacon Hospital frontline staff such as those caring for patients in ICU, ED and those volunteering their time to vaccinate others.

We look forward to providing this continued assistance to the HSE over the coming days, weeks and months with this essential step in our country’s fight again Covid-19.
