Dr Eamonn Shaikh MB BCh BAO MRCP BSc(Hons) FFSEM
Dr. Eamonn Shaikh is a graduate from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed specialist training in Neurology in Ireland. He is a consultant Neurologist with a wide scope of expertise in areas including epilepsy, stroke, and movement disorders. His specialist area of interest includes the diagnosis and management of patients with migraine and other headache disorders.
Dr. Shaikh is on the specialist register in neurology of the Irish Medical Council, a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Dr. Peter Widdess-Walsh is a consultant neurologist at the Beacon Hospital and has expertise in a broad range of neurological problems including seizures and epilepsy, stroke, migraine, movement disorders and others. He has specialist experience in EEG and epilepsy and oversees neurophysiology procedures at the Beacon Hospital including EEG, video-EEG telemetry and nerve conduction studies/EMG.
He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, and has trained in Ireland and abroad, including at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic neurology and neurophysiology training programs.
Dr. Widdess-Walsh has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Neurology, Brain, Epilepsia and Epilepsy Research, and is actively involved in several organisations including the Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience, the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society. Dr. Widdess-Walsh is on the Irish Medical Council specialist register for Neurology, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and is board certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology.
