Prof Seamus Linnane Speaks About the Impact of Long Covid

Prof Seamus Linnane, Consultant in Respiratory & General Internal Medicine and Deputy Medical Director of Beacon Hospital, has been discussing the impact of Long Covid.
Speaking to Morning Ireland on RTE, Prof Linnane explained that there are a large number of people suffering from Long Covid whose “lives have completely changed”. Long Covid is a new situation that the healthcare system has not faced before. There is a large amount of research required to understand it. Prof Linnane established our Post Covid Clinic to provide care and support to Long Covid patients.
Individuals who were previously healthy now suffer from a myriad of symptoms after what initially seemed to be a mild illness.
