Health anxiety is the constant belief that you have a symptom or symptoms of a severe illness. Previously known as hypochondriasis, illness anxiety disorder (IAD) is a spectrum of disease ranging from mild to severe. Even mild forms of illness anxiety can be difficult to manage.
