Beacon Hospital’s Allergy Clinic provides consultant-led allergy testing for adults and children, using up-to-date diagnostic methods to help identify triggers and guide a clear treatment plan across a wide range of allergy concerns, including food allergies and hay fever (seasonal rhinitis). Based in Dublin and led by Consulting Physician Dr Ranbir Kaulsay, the clinic offers assessment, treatment advice and disease-modifying options such as immunotherapy where appropriate.

Allergies commonly treated:

Allergic Asthma

Common in children as a reaction to inhalation of allergens such as pollen.
Animal Allergies

Common allergies associated with cats, horses, dogs and other domestic pets.
Chemical Allergies

Often cause contact dermatitis upon contact with the skin.
Eczema

Both Atopic Eczema and Prurigo.
Food Allergies

Including psuedo-allergies provoked by foods containing histamine.
Hay Fever (Seasonal Rhinitits)

A common allergy usually associated with the pollen season.
Household Dust

Allergies are often caused by house dust mites.
Insect Sting Allergies

One in ten people are thought to be allergic to the venom injected by wasp or bee stings.
