Long Covid with Prof Seamus Linnane on RTE

Prof Seamus Linnane was on RTE Radio this morning discussing how patients with long covid are being medically treated.
Prof Linnane, Consultant in Respiratory & General Internal Medicine and Deputy Medical Director of Beacon Hospital, established Beacon Hospital’s Post Covid Clinic in March 2021. Prof Linnane observed a number of complaints affecting patients long after their initial infection with Covid-19. Prof Linnane and his colleagues have developed this highly specialised clinic, the first of its kind in Ireland, to offer much needed care and support to these patients as they continue in their post-covid recovery journey.
Many of these patients initially had a mild illness which has turned into a long-term illness with debilitating symptoms. Prof Linnane spoke to Morning Ireland about the support and care for patients suffering these symptoms.
