Ukraine Appeal – Thank You

Thank You – Beacon Hospital Ukraine Appeal

We would like to Thank Everyone for supporting our Ukraine Appeal. Yesterday, a donated Ambulance left with one of the last shipments of supplies for the Ukraine. The Ambulance was donated by the HSE and arranged by our Ukraine Appeal Organiser Damien Meaney. Ahead of the departure, we spoke to Damien and Emmet O’Brien, from No-H2O who is currently driving the Ambulance to Lviv in Ukraine. In addition, ten 4×4 vehicles are also being donated and will be driven to Ukraine. Emmet is accompanied by Bill Fitzgerald from George’s Court Waterford.

Over the course of our Ukraine Appeal, we received many generous donations including Toiletries, Sanitary Products, Head Lights & Torches, Sleeping Bags, Tinned & Dry Foods, Baby Nappies, Wipes, Hats and Soft Toys for Children. These donations have been collected, sorted, boxed and transported by road, air and sea to the people who need it most. We would also like to say thank you to our volunteers and staff for donating their time and resources, helping to pack and sort boxes, transport supplies and more. Your donations and contributions enabled aid to be sent directly to the Ukraine through over 25 forty-foot trucks, 10 ambulances, and 20 vans, along with airfreight. This week’s departure of the donated ambulance and the 10 4×4 vehicles are also a huge addition to the transport of aid throughout the communities in Ukraine.

Once again many thanks to all for the great support for Ukraine.
