Professor Seamus Linnane spoke to Kieran Cuddihy about asthma on The Hard Shoulder as part of Asthma Awareness Week. Prof Linnane is a Consultant in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine here at Beacon Hospital, and he spoke about asthma in Ireland including the causes, symptoms and treatment for the condition.
Did you know that Ireland has one of the highest prevalence’s of asthma in the world? Though common in Ireland, Prof Linnane advises that with proper management it can be controlled to reduce and prevent asthma attacks.
