Passion Lives at Kilmacud Crokes and Beacon Hospital

We are delighted to announce that Beacon Hospital are now the main club sponsor of Kilmacud Crokes. Together Beacon Hospital and Kilmacud Crokes are passionate about physical health, teamwork and the wellbeing of our community’s hearts and minds.

Kilmacud Crokes is one of Dublin and Ireland’s largest GAA clubs, fielding over 140 teams across all age groups and levels. The club is at the heart of the community and has excellent partnerships in place with all local schools. At Beacon Hospital, we have always been keen to support local clubs and groups in the community and we hope to contribute to the clubs continued success over the next three years.

On Thursday 31st March we celebrated the launch of our new sponsorship at Kilmacud Crokes clubhouse in Glenalbyn, Stillorgan. To mark the occasion, a redesign of the Kilmacud Crokes jersey for the first time in over a decade was unveiled. The event was hosted by legendary sports commentator Marty Morrissey and included speeches on the day from our CEO, Michael Cullen and Kilmacud Crokes Chairman, Kevin Foley.

Passion Lives Here!

“This sponsorship is all about passion. A passion for health and wellbeing. A passion for teamwork. A passion for our local community along with a passion for fostering greatness. We share this passion with Kilmacud Crokes, making joining forces with them an easy and exciting decision for us.

We have been delighted to meet and work with so many dedicated professionals volunteering their time and skillset to give back to the club at the heart of their community.

Passion Lives Here will see us using our position as one of Ireland’s leading and most technologically advanced hospitals to share our expertise and knowledge in health and wellbeing. In sport and in medicine, it is passion that keeps us focused and dedicated to the cause.

Kilmacud Crokes offers so many great community initiatives. These include health and wellness information for their members. With over 300 Consultants on our team, Beacon Hospital can offer a vast array of expertise to Crokes members in our community.”

“The relationship we are celebrating today is such a fitting one. Kilmacud Crokes GAA, Camogie and Ladies Football Club is a community volunteer organisation focused on health and wellbeing through sport. With our grass roots in the community of Kilmacud, Stillorgan, Mount Merrion, Dundrum and surrounding areas, Beacon Hospital was a truly perfect fit for us to partner up with. Passion lives here in our club. Passion for health and wellbeing is a key agenda we share with our friends, and now sponsors, Beacon Hospital.

We look forward to the support of Beacon Hospital as we continue our journey of inclusion in our club of members of all abilities. Our culture is one of facilitating and understanding people with particular or special needs. That same belief is in the DNA of our new sponsors, Beacon Hospital.”

Kevin Foley, Chair of Kilmacud Crokes

“As a Senior footballer in the club, it is really exciting to see the announcement of this sponsorship deal between the club and Beacon Hospital. I think it’s a great partnership, given Beacon Hospital’s focus on overall health and wellbeing which is very much aligned with the goals and aspirations of our club.  Beacon Hospital were great supporters of our senior footballers in our recent All Ireland Club campaign, and I am delighted to see this now progress into a more longer-term formal partnership.”
