Official Opening of our New Aseptic Compounding Unit

This week we celebrated another milestone for Beacon Hospital as we gathered for the official opening of our new Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU).

The expansion of this new high-tech ACU future proofs Beacon Hospital Pharmacy’s in-house supply of individually tailored chemotherapy and biological treatments as we expand our Cancer Services.

The opening of the new Cleanroom facility with its four isolators guarantees continuity of safe care for our Oncology Department and Infusion Suite patients. This new facility will benefit our cancer patients and will also support the future delivery of new Cancer Clinical Trials here at Beacon Hospital.

A tremendous amount of effort has gone into this project over the past few months. The official opening held on Wednesday 30th October is a fitting recognition of everyone’s hard work.
