Dr Jennifer Grant GP at Beacon HealthCheck, answers your medical questions each week in the Independent.ie. This week Dr Grant was asked about the treatment options for Dupuytren’s Disease.
Dupuytren’s Disease is a condition in which one or more fingers in the hand become permanently bent in a flexed position. It is a slowly progressive disease that begins with fascial thickening and tightening that may be observed as a lump or nodule in the palm. It is painless and can often go undiagnosed for years.
