Getting Here & Parking

(A) If coming from the Leopardstown Racecourse direction:

1. Go straight through the crossroads, under the Luas bridge, towards Sandyford Industrial Estate.
2. Pass ‘Woodies’ on the left and keep going straight on.
3. At the T-junction at the end of this road, turn left (signposted ‘Local Traffic’).
4. The Hospital is at the end of this road on your left on the corner. You will see the entrance to the car park here.

(B) If coming from M50, travelling southbound:

1. Take exit 13, signposted Sandyford/Dundrum. 
2. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout the exit lead on to. This is signposted for Sandyford.
3. Turn left on the second roundabout at which there are traffic lights.
4. Ahead of you will be a big crossroads where you will see the Beacon Hotel on your right. Turn right turn at this crossroads.
5. Take the next right at the traffic lights 30m down this road. The entrance to the car park will be immediately on you right after taking this turn.

(C) If coming from M50, travelling northbound:

1. Take exit 13, signposted Sandyford/Dundrum
2. Take the third exit at this large roundabout.
3. Ahead of you will be a big crossroads where you will see the Beacon Hotel on your right. Turn right turn at this crossroads. 
4. Take the next right at the traffic lights 30m down this road. The entrance to the car park will be immediately on you right after taking this turn.

(D) If coming from Dundrum Village via Upper Kilmacud Road:

1. Follow the Upper Kilmacud Road to the T junction after the ’Holywell‘ estate (this estate is on your right).
2. Take a right at this T-junction.
3. Keep straight until you see Beacon Hotel on your left.
4. Take a left, and then a right at the traffic lights just ahead of you. The entrance to the car park will now be on your right.

An underground carpark is available underneath the hospital. You must take a ticket upon entering the carpark and pay your parking fee at a machine in the carpark before exiting. 

Please note, the carpark is not owned by the hospital and so the hospital cannot validate patient or visitor parking tickets.

Due to high demand, the on-site car park beneath the hospital may experience delays, with queuing while waiting for available spaces.

To help ensure a smoother arrival for appointments, we kindly encourage patients and visitors, where possible, to consider alternative travel options. Being dropped off at the hospital, using a taxi or travelling by public transport can significantly reduce delays and help you arrive on time for your visit.

For those who do need to travel by car, there are a number of alternative car parks located within a short 5 – 10 minute walk of the hospital.

Alternative Car Parks within a 5-10 minute walk of the hospital are listed below:

• Park Rite Beacon South Quarter
• Stillorgan Luas Park & Ride
• Holly Avenue Car Park

The Luas (green line) goes directly from St. Stephen’s Green, and Cherrywood, to Sandyford. Beacon Hospital, is located in Sandyford, less than a 10 minute walk from the Stillorgan Luas station.

On exiting the Luas at the Stillorgan station, cross the road in front of you into the industrial estate. Turn right and walk as far as the traffic lights t-junction (you will pass an Aldi on your left). At this t-junction, turn left and walk up to the top of the road.

You will see the hospital straight ahead of you (approx. 600 meters).

Beacon Hospital is serviced by the following bus routes:

• No. 11 bus from Wadelai Park (via O’Connell Street). Alight at stop no. 4847 Blackthorn Drive.
• No. S8 bus from Tallaght/Dun Laoghaire. Alight at stop no. 449 Blackthorn Road, Corrig Road or at stop no. 3183 Bracken Road, Sandyford.
• No. 114 bus from Blackrock/Ticknock. Alight at at stop no. 3183 Bracken Road, Sandyford or stop no. 449 Blackthorn Road, Corrig Road.
• No. 116 bus from Ballsbridge/Whitechurch. Alight at stop no. 4848, Maple Avenue Sandyford or at stop no. 449 Blackthorn Road, Corrig Road.
