Zeiss Kinevo 900 S installed at Beacon Hospital – First in Ireland and the UK 

This week Beacon Hospital celebrated the arrival of the Zeiss Kinevo 900s which is a next generation high-tech surgical microscope used for neurosurgery and spine surgery. It is the first of its kind in Ireland and UK and reflects Beacon Hospital’s ongoing commitment to investing in state-of-the-art medical technology to deliver the highest standards of patient care.

Early this year Beacon Hospital announced an investment of €30 million to develop the most advanced brain centre in Ireland, Beacon Brain Institute. The Zeiss Kinevo 900 S is a welcome addition to this service as it offers enhanced surgical visualisation for neurosurgeons. This new Institute will mean Beacon Hospital is Ireland’s only private hospital to offer the complete Neurosciences services including Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neurophysiology, Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Interventional neuroradiology and Neuro-oncology including stereotactic radiosurgery.
