Mr Turlough O’Donnell, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, talks to Newstalk about joint pain and rotator cuff pain. Mr O’Donnell addresses the causes of joint pain as well as diagnostics and treatment options such as injections for joints and rotator cuff injuries.
Often, injections into the joint or rotator cuff can give patients almost instant pain relief which often lasts for weeks or even months. During this time, patients are encouraged to attend Physiotherapy which can sometimes result in a near permanent correction of the issue causing the pain.
