International Nurses Day 2022!

On Thursday 12^th May, we celebrated International Nurses Day 2022!

Every year we celebrate International Nurses Day to thank our wonderful team of nurses for all that they do. International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on May 12^th every year, which is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth.

Each year the International Council of Nurses (ICN) celebrates Nurses Day through the promotion of the nursing profession. “International Nurses Day will focus on the need to protect, support and invest in the nursing profession to strengthen health systems around the world.”

We are incredibly lucky to have the greatest team of Nurses here at Beacon Hospital. When you see our wonderful nurses be sure to thank them for their highly skilled care, kindness and support. Our Nurses are a credit to the hospital.

In celebration of Nurses Day 2022 and our wonderful nurses, we had some treats for our staff including Carnival Games, Prizes, Food, and Fun Competitions! Some of the games included Test Your Strength, Tin Can Alley, Bucket Ball and Dart a Card. In addition to the games, we also had a competition to win Billy, the Giant Bear! Our staff had to “Guess How Many” Sweets were in a Jar of sweets. One of our nurses, Jaycerie, had the closest guess, with a guess only one jelly off!
