HAPPY INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY 2023!

We celebrated International Nurses Day 2023 on Friday 12th May!

We celebrate International Nurses Day on May 12th as it is the birth date of Florence Nightingale, founder of modern nursing. Each year the International Council of Nurses (ICN) celebrates Nurses Day through the promotion of the nursing profession, and this year is focusing on shining a light on a brighter future for nursing. Hence, the theme for Nurses Day 2023 is “Our Nurses. Our Future.”

We are incredibly lucky to have a wonderful team of Nurses. Our Beacon Hospital Nurses have set an exceptionally high standard of care by continuing to go above and beyond for each and every one of our patients. Our Nurses are all a credit to the profession and Beacon Hospital.

On Friday 12^th May, all our staff from across the hospital came out for Nurses Day 2023. We wanted to celebrate our own team of nurses and the vital work they do. So, we brought our Wonderful Nurses down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. It was an afternoon of strange surprises, games, competition, prizes and treats, along with visits from the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and Alice herself! Some of the games included Queen of Darts, Hatter Hat Trick and Flamingo Croquet. In addition to games, we had our very own Mad Hatter Tea Party!
