This week Dr Grant discusses hay fever and antihistamines which can alleviate hay fever symptoms. A patient asks Dr Grant if antihistamines could be making her feel unwell. Dr Grant explains the different types of antihistamine medication and the potential related side effects.

There are over 30 different types of pollen and 20 types of spores that can trigger hay fever. Hay fever generally first begins in children or teenagers and the risk in developing hay fever is higher in those with a family history or those who already suffer with asthma or eczema.
