Dr David Burke Talks About Reacting to Cardiac Arrest

Dr David Burke, Consultant Cardiologist at Beacon Hospital, talked to Dermot and Dave on TodayFM about cardiac arrest and the importance of quick action.
Last weekend saw Danish football player Christian Erikson collapsing due to cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 game against Finland. The incident has highlighted the importance of education and resources for first aid.
In cases of cardiac arrest fast action is vital and each second counts. While giving advice on how to react to cardiac arrest, Dr Burke spoke about not being afraid to take action, call emergency services for help and start CPR.
