Our Radiotherapy Team Receives VisionRT Award

Last week Jonathan Rosser from Vision RT called in to present our Radiotherapy team with an award for their use of VisionRT’s Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT). Our Radiotherapy team received the award for their use of SGRT for tattooless treatments for our Radiotherapy patients.

Radiotherapy patients traditionally received permanent tattoo marks to help locate the correct area for treatment. These tattoo marks are a permanent reminder of cancer treatment and can have a profound psychological impact on some patients.

We are delighted to say almost all of our patients have been offered a tattooless Radiotherapy treatment since 2019. This tattooless treatment has made a huge difference to patients both during and post treatment.
