Dr Meenan provides services to patients in Beacon Hospital’s Oncology Department.
Training & Experience:
Dr Meenan is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist. She is the Head of Psychology at Beacon Hospital.
Dr Meenan has worked in a variety of mental health settings, including hospitals and private clinics, to help patients achieve a greater sense of well-being. She is very experienced in treating a range of mental health difficulties and has worked in the field of psychology for over 20 years. She has extensive experience working in neuropsychology.
Dr Meenan worked in Hong Kong for 8 years in a private medical clinic. During her time in Hong Kong, she was instrumental in setting up a child development clinic and was the clinical director of this until her departure. This involved managing more than 20 allied health staff and all clinical issues related to the running of the clinic.
Dr Meenan has lectured on a variety of university courses and is a Visiting Lecturer on the TCD Clinical Psychology programme and regularly supervises trainees from the UCD Clinical Psychology programme. She has presented at many different national and international conferences.
Currently, Dr Meenan works within the Oncology Department in Beacon Hospital providing psychological support to patients attending the service for treatment.
