Training:
Dr Vladimir Stoyanov was awarded Doctor in Medicine and Surgery at the Medical University of Sofia in 1999. He achieved the degree of Specialist in Nephrology in 2008 at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain, under the leadership of Prof Ortiz, Dr Caramelo, and Prof Egido. Due to a personal interest in Interventional Nephrology, he undertook a separate year of training in Interventional Radiology, Peritoneal Dialysis Surgery, and Vascular Ultrasound Training across several University Hospitals in Spain. After his Nephrology training, he completed Master of Medical Science programs in Hemodialysis, Cardiorenal Syndrome, Atherothrombotic Disease, and Hereditary Renal Disorders.

Dr Stoyanov is a Consultant Nephrologist & General Physician at Beacon Hospital.
Previously Dr Stoyanov held appointments as a Consultant Nephrologist in Spain since 2008. He was a medical student internship tutor (UAM, 2008), an associate professor at the University “Alfonso X El Sabio” (2016-2019), a trainer in Vascular Access Ultrasound at Fresenius Medical Care (2018-2019), and the Vascular Access Management Program Director at “Hospital Universitario del Tajo” (2013-2019).
He is a reviewer for the Journal “Nefrologia” (Elsevier) and a co-founding member of the GEMAV Society. His experience in Ireland as a Nephrologist and General Medicine Physician goes through Beaumont Hospital (2019-2021), Cavan General Hospital (2021-2022), St. Vincent’s University Hospital (2022-2024), and Beacon Hospital at present. He has been an Adjunct associate professor at UCD since 2023.
