Dr Nikita Deegan

Dr Deegan graduated from University College Dublin in 2011 and completed her Obstetric & Gynaecology training in Ireland. She undertook specialist fellowship training in Paediatric & adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) in University College Hospital London under the world renowned leader in PAG, Professor Sarah Creighton.

Dr Deegan was awarded an honorary contract at UCLH post completion of her fellowship, which allows her to maintain strong links with the Multi-disciplinary team there for complex cases. She regularly attends their multi-disciplinary meetings and travels to operate with the team there quarterly.

Since returning to Ireland in 2022, Dr Deegan has been practising as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Rotunda Hospital Dublin.

In January 2023 she was appointed as Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecologist across Children’s Health Ireland and The Rotunda where she leads the PAG and Teenage pregnancy service. She set up the first and only dedicated Multidisciplinary service for patients with complex congenital gynaecology needs in Ireland in 2022 at The Rotunda Hospital. In 2026, Dr Deegan joined the team at Beacon for Kids.

Dr Deegan’s speciality focuses on the care of children, adolescents and young people with gynaecological concerns, including but not limited to:
