Training
Dr Lucy Perrem graduated from University College Dublin in 2009 and completed her general paediatric training in Ireland. She undertook specialist fellowship training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto.
She holds a PhD in cystic fibrosis and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Evidence-Based Health Care from the University of Oxford.
Experience
Dr Perrem was appointed Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at SickKids, Toronto, where she served as Clinical Lead of the Severe Asthma Programme. Since returning to Ireland in 2023, she has been practising as a Consultant at Children’s Health Ireland and now sees private patients at Beacon for Kids.
She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in paediatric respiratory medicine and maintains an active interest in clinical research and quality improvement.
