Training & Experience:
Ms Eleanor Faul graduated University College Cork in 2001. She completed surgical training in Colorectal and General Surgery in Ireland, and attained Specialist Fellowship of the RCSI in 2012. She then moved to the United States for fellowship training at the world renowned Digestive Disease and Surgery Centre at the Cleveland Clinic. In 2014 she returned to Ireland to take up a Consultant Colorectal position in the RCSI group working in our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and in Beaumont hospital.
Ms Eleanor Faul is a Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon here in Beacon Hospital. Her special interests are laparoscopic colon and rectal cancer surgery and minimally invasive transanal surgery. Her special interests also include proctology and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. She has a vast experience in emergency and elective general surgery to include cholecystectomy, hernia repair and gastrointestinal surgery and she has experience in all aspects of general surgery.
Ms Faul is involved in surgical education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her career includes skills in management and patient safety and she is currently the Perioperative Clinical Director in Drogheda.
