Noelle Cassidy has been working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Dublin since 2004. She graduated in medicine from UCD in 1988 and was the first female surgeon to train in the Irish orthopaedic training programme. She did her fellowship training in peadiatric orthopaedic surgery in The Shriners Hospital for Children in Los Angeles, California.


She was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon to The Mater Hospital, Temple Street and Cappagh orthopaedic hospitals in 2004.

More recently she has worked at NSI at Beacon Hospital.

Her practice is a mixed adult and peadiatric practice. She treats children with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and sees many adolescents with back pain for investigation.

In her adult practice she will assess, investigate and manage patients presenting with spine issues. She also does hip and knee arthroplasty surgery, as well as knee arthroscopy.
