Training:
Dr Ruth graduated from UCD with honours in 2010. She undertook basic and higher specialist training in Paediatrics in Ireland, passing her MRCPI exams in 2012 and receiving her CSCST in 2022. She completed a specialist fellowship in General Paediatrics at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in 2021.
Dr Ruth also completed an MSc in Allergy from the University of Southampton.
Experience:
Dr Emma Ruth is a Consultant Paediatrician here at Beacon Hospital and has a specialist interest in Allergy. She runs independent clinics at Beacon for Kids. Dr Ruth also works as a General Paediatrician at CHI Crumlin, seeing both general paediatric and allergy patients in her clinics.
She has experience in most aspects of child health and holds a major interest in the primary and secondary prevention of food allergy and the management of allergic conditions such as hayfever (allergic rhinitis), atopic eczema and asthma.
