Dr Guiney MB, MRCPI, FRCR, FFRCSI completed his basic Radiology training in Adelaide and Meath and St James Hospitals, Dublin. Having done Fellowships in both Interventional Radiology and Cross Sectional Imaging in Boston and Harvard University Hospitals, he then took up a Consultant post in University College Hospital in London for two years and then in Cork University Hospital for a further two years.
He is a Consultant Radiologist in Beacon Hospital and in St James Hospital since 2006. His areas of interest include all aspects of Interventional Radiology in particular onco-radiology, ablative therapy and targeted embolotherapy. He is also interested in vascular imaging and cardiac CT and CT colonography.
Dr Guiney is the clinical lead of the St James’s Hospital radiology audit programme and the RCSI educational coordinator.
