Training:
Dr Walsh trained in Toronto, Canada and did his electrophysiology training in Cincinnati in the United States. After spending 6 years as a consultant in University Hospital Bristol, he returned to Dublin to take up a joint appointment in the Mater University Hospital and CHI Crumlin.
Experience:
Dr Walsh is a consultant cardiologist with an interest in electrophysiology, inherited cardiac conditions, and congenital cardiology.
Dr. Walsh specialises in all aspects of catheter ablation and pacing. In particular areas of interest are management of inherited cardiac conditions, sports cardiology and POTS / dysautonomia. Dr. Walsh has a keen interest in research and has published multiple papers in international peer review journals.
In his personal time, Dr Walsh has a keen interest in tennis, rugby and mountain biking.
Dr Walsh’s areas of interest include catheter ablation, supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, congenital heart disease, pacemaker and ICD insertion and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
