Training:
Dr. Collins is a 1992 Graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He trained in General Internal and Respiratory Medicine in Ireland, becoming a Member of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 1996. He then completed the Irish Anaesthesia Training Scheme, becoming a Fellow of the College of Anaesthetist’s of Ireland in 2000, achieving his CCST in Anaesthesia, in 2006. In the midst of his Anaesthesia training he completed a three year Clinical and Research Intensive Care Medicine Fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, passing the Fellowship exams of both the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care in 2001 and Fellowship of Anaesthesia, Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetist’s in 2003. He also was also a Fellow in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia in Papworth Hospital, Cambridge.
