About:
Dr Ciara Maguire studied medicine at Trinity College Dublin, where she was awarded multiple undergraduate prizes including foundation scholarship and graduated with honours. She undertook training in internal medicine in Ireland and was successful in obtaining membership to the Royal College of Physicians in both Ireland and the UK. She trained in dermatology at King’s College Hospital and the world-renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. She is also interested in research and was awarded a DPhil (PhD) from the University of Oxford in 2025 for her work studying immunological pathways in the skin. She completed subspecialty training in paediatric dermatology, spending one year at NYU Langone Health (including New York Health and Hospitals Bellevue) in the US and was also selected for a three-month European Society for Pediatric Dermatology (ESPD) Fellowship at Necker Enfants-Malades in Paris, France. She returned to Ireland in 2026.
