Training:
Dr Fagan is a graduate of Trinity College 1991. Having completed basic medical training and becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1994 he commenced on the national anaesthesia training programme and completed his CCST in 2000 then becoming a fellow of the college of anaesthetists of Ireland. After this he completed a 2-year fellowship in critical care medicine at the Royal Perth Hospital in Australia and became a fellow of the Australian College of Intensive Care Medicine by examination in 2002.
Experience:
Dr Fagan returned to Ireland in 2002 to take up a permanent post as a consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. His interests include teaching, post-operative care, sepsis, patient safety and communication.
He is married and has 3-boys. His hobbies include golf, cycling and supporting the Leinster rugby team!
