Training & Education:
In 2000, Dr Diana Gheta graduated with distinction as a Doctor of Medicine. Following this she competed specialist training in Lyon South Hospital and Lapeyronie Hospital in France. Dr Gheta subsequently went on to gain international clinical experience in diverse healthcare systems and undertook a fellowship in St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
Experience:
Dr Diana Gheta is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Beacon Hospital and has a specialist interest in Osteoporosis and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
Over the last 10 years Dr Gheta has worked in multiple hospitals as a Consultant Rheumatologist including Tallaght University Hospital, Naas General Hospital and Peamount Healthcare, delivering comprehensive rheumatology outpatient and inpatient care.
In 2019, Dr Gheta obtained the EFSUMB Level 1 Musculoskeletal Ultrasound competency.
In her daily practice Dr Gheta uses ultrasound to diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis and osteoarthritis, and to perform guided joint injections.
