Dr David Kearney

In 2005 Mr Kearney graduated from UCC completing his surgical training in Ireland. He then completed a colorectal fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio in 2019. In 2020 he was appointed as consultant general and colorectal surgeon to Connolly and Beaumont Hospitals.

Mr David Kearney is currently a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Beacon Hospital.

His areas of specialty include complex IBD surgery, colorectal cancer, general & colorectal surgery, proctology, endoscopy and minor surgery. He also has an interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Mr Kearney was also the first surgeon in to use the Biolytec Laser which is used for minimally invasive pilonidal sinus surgery, fistula-in-ano ablation and Laser haemorrhoidoplasty.

Mr Kearney is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and is the RCSI undergraduate lead for surgical teaching in Connolly Hospital.
