Dr Carmen Torre

After leaving college, Dr Carmen Torre Beltrami entered the University of Medicine in Cádiz and was first in her class. In 1998 she obtained the degree in Medicine in Cádiz with honours and, after passing the MIR exam (for access to the specialty in Spain), entered the Spanish Specialist Training Programme in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Hospital Virgen del Rocío, in Seville, Spain. In 2004 she obtained the specialist graduation as Plastic Surgeon. She went on to complete an Expert in Health Management and multiple courses, specially orientated to flaps and breast reconstruction.

Dr Carmen Torre Beltrami is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at Beacon Hospital.

Previously, she was a Consultant in Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Seville (one of the biggest and more recognized hospitals in Spain) for 5 years, before moving to Cádiz as Chief of the Plastic Surgery Unit for 10 years. In 2021 she moved to Ireland and was a Consultant in Plastic Surgery in St James´s Hospital (after some months in The Mater Hospital) for almost three years.

Throughout this time she has developed her interest in Breast Reconstruction and general Breast Surgery, working closely with  breast surgeons to offer the patients the best alternative according to their circumstances. She has also worked closely with Dermatologists offering surgery and reconstruction for Skin Cancers, as well as Ear Reconstruction.
