Ann Marie is an Educational Psychologist working in the area of disability and complex needs Since graduating from Mary Immaculate College in June 2016 Ann Marie has worked with Early Intervention Teams (aged 0-6 years) and School Age Disability Teams (aged 6-18years). In addition Ann Marie gained valuable experience working with children in her 6 years as a primary school teacher. Ann Marie received a BA Honours degree in Psychology in 2014 from Dublin Business School and Bachelor of Education in 2008 from St. Patrick’s College, Dublin.
Ann Marie has extensive experience assessing and supporting children, adolescents and adults with Autism, mental health difficulties, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, complex needs and behaviour difficulties. She works both on a one-to-one and small group basis with children and young adults, as well as their families, schools and other professional services.
As a clinical psychologist, Dr Meenan does not prescribe medication, but works closely with GPs and psychiatrists in supporting patient’s psychological and pharmacological needs. There is no inpatient psychiatric service at the Beacon Hospital.
