Educational grants are made available to all members of the team who wish to advance their careers in Beacon Hospital. Grants include monetary for course/college fees and also study leave coming up to assignments or examinations.

Beacon Hospital has teamed up with UCD to offer all staff the opportunity to do the LEAN White and Green belt certified courses. Completion of this course affords the employee with the relevant certificate from UCD.

In-House Clinical Education Team

Beacon Hospital’s in-house clinical education team is led by Clincal Nurse Educators, Katie Conlon and Anne Dempsey. Katie and Anne work to consistently provide up to date education and training to clinical staff.

Training programs run in-house include: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Paediatric Life Support, Manual Handling, Medication Safety, Pain Competency, Diabetes Workshop, Communications and more.
