Senior Paediatric Dietitian
I am a registered senior paediatric dietitian and since I qualified in 2009 with BSc (Hons) Dietetics from Plymouth University, I have worked in various clinical settings with parents across the UK and Ireland. From 2014, I have worked in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and Temple Street University Hospital. Previously, I have worked as a speciality dietitian at St James NHS Hospital in Leeds, and Queens NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, Newcastle. I am passionate and committed in providing the best service for families with children throughout all paediatric stages.
I am a champion of breastfeeding, and support parents with breastfeeding infants in hospital and beyond. This includes infants with feeding difficulties and/or poor weight gain. As a neonatal dietitian I am accustomed working with very sick surgical babies and premature babies in an acute setting. My role also includes common feeding issues such as reflux and fussy eating and more complex problems such as food hypersensitivity, food allergies and faltering growth. I also work with older children and adolescent with nutrition-related problems.
I am a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetics Institute (INDI), the speciality Paediatric Interest Group and I am registered with CORU (the regulatory body for allied healthcare professionals in Ireland).
