Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon
Mr Conor Barry is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon in Beacon Hospital and St James’s Hospital, Dublin.
He qualified in both dentistry (2001) and Medicine (2006) from Trinity College Dublin. He undertook postgraduate dental training in the Dublin Dental Hospital and Limerick Regional Hospital and completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry (MFD) from RCSI. He undertook postgraduate surgical training in St James’s Hospital and completed membership exams of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) before going to Liverpool, UK for his higher surgical training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2008-2014). He completed the FRCS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery before undertaking a Training Interface Group (TIG), Fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He completed his training with a further fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery from the Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute (SHNCI) in Australia.
Conor returned to Ireland to take up his consultant appointment in St James’s Hospital in 2015 and was appointed as a consultant in the Beacon Hospital in 2016. His interests include dentoalveolar surgery, suspicious and premalignant conditions of the mouth, Head and neck Cancer Surgery and facial trauma surgery.
