Training:

Dr Bláthnaid McCoy graduated from UCD Medical School with honours in 2002, and completed training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology in Ireland and Canada. She completed a paediatric neurology fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where she also obtained Canadian Board Certification in Clinical Neurophysiology, and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Toronto.

Experience:

Dr McCoy is an international expert in the management of complex epilepsy and her research interests are in novel therapies including cannabinoids. She has over 40 publications in peer review journals and is a frequent speaker at international scientific meetings.

Dr McCoy has worked as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Dublin and at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
