Training:

Éilís graduated with honours from UCD in 2001. Following basic surgical training, she undertook a Masters in Surgery, researching the healing of problematic skin wounds. She was the appointed to the higher surgical training scheme in plastic, reconstructive & aesthetic surgery, under the auspices of the Royal College of Surgeons, completing her training in plastic surgery in 2012.

Thereafter, she undertook fellowships in reconstructive cosmetic surgery and the therapeutic use of medical lasers, in the UK. In 2013, she was awarded the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) travelling fellowship, which facilitated six months spent in the Netherlands and London as the Dutch Association for Facial Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (DAFPRS) international fellow.

Experience:

Ms Fitzgerald has been a consultant at Beacon Hospital since 2014. She is enrolled on the Specialist Register in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, and is an active member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons and the British Medical Laser Association.

Ms Fitzgerald’s practice is based entirely at Beacon Hospital and Beacon Consultants Clinic. It encompasses the full spectrum of aesthetic and cosmetic surgery, including procedures to the body, breast, and face. She also offers non-surgical and minimally-invasive facial aesthetic treatments, including laser treatments.

Additionally, she provides skin surgery, breast reconstruction, and hand surgery services. She has a sub-specialist interest in scar management and laser surgery. The hallmark of her practice is individualised, evidence-based care, delivered with skill and compassion.
