Peter Widdess-Walsh, originally from Cork, graduated from Trinity College Dublin. After working at St. James’s and the Mater Hospitals, he completed his training in neurology and
neurophysiology (with a special interest in epilepsy and seizures) at the Cleveland Clinic, under Prof. Hans Lüders. He is Board Certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. Peter returns from the US after practising general neurology and epilepsy for the last six years in the New York area with renowned neurologist, Prof. Orrin Devinsky. He has been a member of the Royal
College of Physicians and the Irish Institute of Clinical Neuroscience for many years, and has over 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. At UPMC Beacon Hospital Peter’s practice will cover a wide variety of neurological problems, as well as maintaining a special interest in seizure disorders.
